Cookie Policy

We keep this list deliberately short. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers on this site — which is why you don’t see a cookie banner begging for consent to twenty ad networks.
1. Cookies we set
- Sign-in cookies (names beginning
sb-) — strictly necessary. Keep you signed in and are refreshed automatically; secure and SameSite. Removed when you log out. A short-lived one is also set while you reset your password. - Creator link (
mr_via) — set only if you arrive through a creator’s link (an address ending in?via=) and press Allow on the bar that asks. It remembers that creator for 30 days, so they get credit if you sign up. It holds only their short code, is read only by our server, and doesn’t follow you to other websites. Press No thanks, or ignore the bar, and nothing is set. - Checkout — Polar’s checkout and billing pages run on Polar’s own domain and use the cookies needed to take your payment securely, under Polar’s policies.
- We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.
2. Browser storage the editor uses
The editor stores working preferences (such as your onboarding checklist and editor settings) in your browser’s local storage. When you save a project, your browser also keeps a copy of your most recent projects, and a random code that tells My Projects “this computer”, so a project reopens in one click, and the templates you make from your projects (“My templates”: a project’s settings without its data, with its small preview picture). That data stays on your device; we don’t read it back to our servers, and clearing your browsing data removes it.
3. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in; everything public on the site works without any cookie at all.
