1. Our intellectual property
The Make Ranks rendering engine, templates, site design, branding and curated datasets are the copyrighted work of Make Ranks. Subscribing grants a licence to use them inside the service — not to copy, extract, decompile, redistribute or resell them. Unauthorized copies are pursued through takedown notices to hosts, registrars and search engines, and through the courts where necessary.
2. Your intellectual property
Content you upload (images, audio, data) remains yours. You grant us only the technical licence needed to store it and render it back to you. Videos you export are yours.
3. Respecting others’ rights
You must have rights to material you upload. Our datasets are compiled from publicly available sources such as official statistics, company and platform figures and public records. Pictures in the library are links to publicly available images, and the rights in them stay with their owners: before using one in a monetized video, make sure your use is allowed, or replace it with your own. Material you add yourself is your responsibility, and platform copyright enforcement on your uploads is between you and the platform. A rights holder can ask us to remove a picture from the library (section 4).
4. Reporting infringement (DMCA-style notice)
If you believe content available through the service infringes your copyright, email support@makeranks.com with: (a) identification of the work, (b) the exact URL or location, (c) your contact details, (d) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
We act on valid notices promptly — removing or disabling access to the material — and may terminate repeat infringers’ accounts. If your content is removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the same identifying details.
